Victoria's Recycle + Rework project

As we bring in the new year, we wanted to celebrate a bespoke design, which was made towards the end of 2021, using pre-loved family heirlooms.

We understand that a piece of jewellery can become so intwined with ones identity, which gives it so much sentimental value when it is passed down through generations. As part of our mission to reduce waste and to prolong the life of jewellery, KIND offers a Recycle + Rework service, which allows us to use family heirlooms, and rework them into a new design that will be worn and loved – just as it once was.

When Victoria approached us last year, we felt honoured to be a part of this highly personal project, as she had inherited three beautiful rings from her Mother who had recently passed. Whilst these rings were once worn everyday by her late Mother, Victoria wanted to redesign them and create two new rings that spoke to her personal style.

We worked incredibly closely with Victoria on every element of the ring to ensure it was perfect for her. The end results was a ring that represents Victoria’s style, but has been made using the rings she will always remember her mother wearing. We were able to include the 18ct gold and diamonds from the original rings – and polish them up before returning them to the new design.

We are committed to working closely with our Recycle + Rework clients to produce a design that is symbolic to their family and loved ones. We understand that this process is incredibly personal and that each piece of jewellery can hold a lot of emotional value. If you would like to chat to us about redesigning a piece that you have inherited, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We will be here for you every step of the way.
