One Tree Planted
March 21st: International Day of Forests, 2021
Since August 2019, KIND Collection has been working alongside the global charity, One Tree Planted. Over the past few years, we have pledged to donate one tree for every online order made at KIND Collection. Our aim is to offset our carbon footprint, whilst also investing in our future and aiding with reforestation.

One Tree Planted (OTP) is a non-for profit global organisation that is focused on reforestation. By redeveloping forests, OTP are offsetting our carbon footprint, whilst also protecting biodiversity and safeguarding the incredible species that we share our planet with. Their business model encourages businesses and individuals to give back to the environment, by simply planting trees!
Trees are integral to the conservation of our planet. They clean the air we breath, filter the water that we drink, and provide habitats to over 80% of the world's land animals and plant species. In addition to the environmental impact, One Tree Planted has also provided thousands of jobs to local communities on every continent (excluding Antartica).

What is reforestation?
Reforestation is the process of planting trees in forest areas where the number of trees have decreased over time, often as a result of humankind. Reforestation is the most beneficial (and cost effective) nature-based solution for tackling the harming effects of climate change, as trees actively remove CO2 from our earths atmosphere.

How can you help?
Talk about trees! Talk about your carbon foot print, and talk about the future of our planet. The more we talk, the more our awareness builds, and the more we can do to help. As an individual (or a business) you can also donate to One Tree Planted. Head to their website to learn more. Additionally, when you are purchasing from brands, do some research into their supply chain/business model, and the ways in which they give back to our planet. Choose where you invest your money wisely.
We are so proud to be working and donating to OTP. Since August 2019, KIND Collection has now planted 570 trees, thanks to the support from our customers and the team at One Tree Planted. Feel great about the jewellery you wear, knowing that you are helping our planet along the way!
