Why Vintage?

SLOW SUNDAY

Edition thirty

This week’s Slow Sunday is focused on the wonderful world of vintage shopping.

In a world where everything is shinny and new, we love to take the chance to dive back into the past, with some beautiful vintage pieces.

Why buy vintage?

Sustainability

Shopping secondhand is sustainable - and who can argue with that? The fashion industry is one of the biggest polluters to our planet. Every time you choose to buy vintage, you are taking a positive step in the right direction to a more sustainable future. So you can feel better about you purchase!

Uniqueness

In a fast fashion era, where everyone is so focused on the latest trends, it is nice to get personal and be unique in your style.

Stories

Vintage pieces are pre-owned and pre-loved! Which means they have history. When you buy vintage, you are giving that piece a second life, and a chance for a new adventure.

Whilst we are tucked away indoors during lock down, we can’t head to our favourite vintage stores - so instead, here are some of our favourite online boutiques!

Jewellery - KIND vintage collection

Last month (March, 2020), KIND launched it’s very own (carefully curated) Vintage Ring Collection. Each ring was sourced in the UK by founder, Tansy Haak. These pieces are then taken back to the KIND studio where they are polished and touched up, giving them a new lease on life. A few stones have been lovingly replaced and the overall vintage beauty has been preserved in each piece.

We hope you have enjoyed this weeks Slow Sunday edition. Stay home, stay safe, stay happy!

With love,

Kind Collection
